Failaka Heritage Village

Failaka Island is strategically located. The land area of the island is approximately 43 square kilometres with a minimum length of 14 kilometres and maximum width of 6 kilometres. Failaka Island lies twenty kilometres east of Kuwait City, opposite the Bay of that name, and 50 kms from the southernmost tip of Iraq. It is one of the most important islands of Kuwait. It is triangular with its base in the west and head in the southeast.

Failaka Island had a small Greek colony from 325 to 150 BC and was part of a maritime trade route in the Ptolomeic era. The remains of a temple can be found there today. Failaka was an important trading post with links to Iraq, Persia, the Mediterranean, the Levant, India and Africa.


JORDAN

Ajloun Forest Reserve

Ajloun Forest Reserve is located in Ajloun Highlands (13 square km.). It consists of Mediterranean hill country, dominated by open woodlands of Oak and Pistachio. The rich greenery of Ajloun has made it a popular spot for picnickers and hikers.

The Ajloun Campsite is on the edge of the forest in the Ajloun Nature Reserve in the north of Jordan. It occupies a large grassy clearing, enclosed by oak, pistachio and strawberry trees and offers beautiful views of the reserve and beyond. The campsite is opened from the 1st of April until the 31st of October.


Azraq Lodge

Visiting or accommodating at the Azraq lodge offers a one of a kind historical trip, the lodge occupies an authentic atmosphere with a modern twist, starting at the entrance, the overwhelming military theme is instantly noticeable throughout old framed pictures scattered all over the lodge’s walls for the Azraq’s local communities; the Bedouins, Chechens and Druze. The reception area has an incredible colonial style with comfortable couches set around an old style heater for relaxation. The lodge is managed by a local Chechen family that has sustained the traditional recopies from their ancestors to serve delicious Chechen food and delights, a truly exceptional and tasty experience. Along 16 fully equipped military themed rooms with private terraces surrounded by green cactus huge rocks, over looking the vast desert to provide comfortable accommodation and an experience to remember.


Dana Nature Reserve

Dana Nature reserve (297 Square km) is a world of natural treasures. It is Composed of a chain of valleys and mountains which extend from the top of the Jordan Rift Valley down to the desert lowlands of Wadi Araba. The reserve contains a remarkable diversity of landscapes That range from wooded highlands to rocky slopes and from gravel plains to sand dunes. Visitors will find a number of facilities & services available at the reserve. Accommodation Facilities: a beautiful Guesthouse, a fully equipped Camp and an expected eco-friendly lodge. Perched on the edge of Wadi Dana, the Guesthouse offers a breathtaking view of the reserve. It can accommodate up to 23 people in 9 bed rooms.


Feynan Eco Lodge

Set among the arid mountains of Wadi Feynan, on the border of Dana Nature Reserve, the eco- friendly Feynan lodge provides a cool atmospheric retreat for eco-tourists wishing to explore this under discovered, archaeological rich area of Jordan.
It has 26 beautiful rooms and can accommodate up to 55 people. Traditional Arabic food can be provided upon request
